Graduating with a BA in Acting from QUT in 2012, Jerome immediately landed a lead role in La Boite Theatre Company’s production of Holding the Man. While performing in Brisbane he appeared as Cooper on Hoodlum/Network 10’s television drama Secrets and Lies. He then secured the lead role of Joe Cinque in Joe Cinque’s Consolation (official selection Toronto Film Festival, 2016) and has since been seen on Channels 7’s Home & Away, playing the guest role of Taz.
His latest film role, a lead in the feature film Harmony was released to international acclaim in 2019. Jerome has also been a member of the Shakespeare ensemble cast for Sport for Jove Theatre Company since 2016 and has played multiple leading roles under the direction of the critically acclaimed director Damien Ryan – key roles have included Lysander in A Midsummer Nights Dream (2019) and Cassio in Othello (2019, 2020).
Early on in his career Jerome discovered his talent for film production filming short online publicity videos for a family owned restaurant where he worked as a waiter during his down time from performance. Since then, working closely with best friend and Director of Photography, Andre Vasquez, Jerome developed a production company S.O.A.P productions, under which banner he has created short form content for a wide range of commercial brands (Belvedere Vodka, Miller Draft, Hennessy, Nike, Anderson Pakk, Winston Surfshirt) and government initiatives (McArthur Diversity Services, Mens Shed Australia).
Jerome has also produced, written and directed and starred in three short films and two comedy pilots including the kick-starter funded dramatic comedy iAm due to be released later this year. In his spare time Jerome works as a teacher and co- director and owner of Sydney Performance Academy, teaching Acting for camera and performance technique to students aged 4 – 20 yrs.
